Sports has been my passion since before I was able to walk. All I wanted to do was sit with my father and take in a game. Crying and temper tantrums would ensue if this was ever interrupted. While the unhinged crying has thankfully subsided (most of the time), my love of sports has only grown.
Within a year of graduating from the University of Arizona, I knew I wanted to work in sports media. I took an internship at a radio station in Denver, CO. I was a producer for the late-night shows at Mile High Sports Radio, which eventually turned into having my own weekday show.
After returning to Los Angeles, I searched tirelessly for my next opportunity in sports. I was offered a reporter position with Sporting News to cover the NBA. For three years, I closely covered the Lakers and Clippers while also being assigned various projects around the rest of the league. I traveled for playoff games and was lucky enough to cover the 2019 NBA Playoffs. I was heard on radio stations around the country and in Canada.
Following Sporting News, I moved to Nashville to become the first sports reporter in the history of The Daily Wire. I was responsible for starting and growing the sports department. After a year of proving that sports could work at the company, I moved on to Fox News where I am now a sports reporter. I can be heard during the weekdays on Sirius XM channel 115.
I'm looking for my next opportunity where I can bring my experience and talents to the table. I can be reached at joemorgantakes@gmail.com
